How to Look Up Your Debt

Date: Oct 23, 2026
The easiest way to look up your debt is to view a credit report from Equifax, Experian, or TransUnion. Reports show open and closed accounts, balances, and payment history.
Look Up Any Missing Debts
Reports may leave out some debts. Check lender portals, old statements, and mailed notices. For utility or cable bills, only unpaid accounts sent to collections will likely show.
If you cannot find a lender, look at your report for the creditor name and contact information. Bank statements can also show payments to loan services.
Save what you find in one document with each lender’s contact information, so you can look it up again quickly.
